Some people who plan to stay home and prepare Thanksgiving dinner were shopping at the Staunton farmers' market Saturday morning.
Saturday was the last day for the farmers' market this season, and farmers say the season was a little slow.
They say it's not just because of a bad economy, but because more people have started growing home gardens.
They say Thanksgiving dinner isn't all that brought out shoppers.
"People have really been stocking up today, you know, buying stuff not only to keep them through the week like normally, but planning big parties. We had one girl come in and got all of her stuff because she was planning a party within 100 miles," says Susan Randall with Elk Run Farm.
Randall has participated in the farmers' market since it opened more than 15 years ago.
She even baked cookies for her customers to celebrate the end of the market season.
