Months ago the original ban was announced.
Farmers jumped a major hurdle when 30 days passed without a new case, but precautions still need to be taken. The Department of Agriculture will be doing enhanced testing on birds until December.
"The economic impact the damage it would do to our farmers ultimately it could have an impact on food prices-we don't think that could happen but, it's in their best interest to have a safe abundant, wholesome food supply," Carlton Courter says.
