Seismologists at Virginia Tech are saying an earthquake of 2.7 magnitude shook parts of central Virginia Wednesday afternoon.

Faculty members of the Virginia Tech Seismology Department say the earthquake occurred around 5:30 p.m.

Seismologists say the epicenter was several miles outside the town of Amherst and occurred about three miles below the surface.

Amherst County officials say people were calling because of the shaking.

The quake was also felt in the Lovingston area.

There are no reports of injuries or significant damage.

A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
