A pregnant woman is recovering in the hospital, following a two-car accident in Staunton.

The crash happened along Frontier Drive Monday afternoon.

The pregnant woman, Layla Yoder, was driving northbound, when police say a Honda Accord crossed the center lane and hit her car. A total of five people were injured.

Rescue crews had to cut open Yoder's Nissan Sentra, to remove her. Her condition has not yet been released.

The driver of the Accord, Ethan Poindexter, was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Police say Poindexter is also wanted in two other Virginia counties, for failing to appear in court.

He's also charged with giving police a false identity.

That is me. My baby didn't make it. And Poindexter only got 30 days and a $100 fine for the wreck. What kind of justice is that??
