Students at Blue Ridge Community College got a lesson on taking China seriously.

Experts on the Chinese culture and economy hosted a town hall meeting Tuesday night.

They said China is a rising leader in the world and Americans should learn more about this growing power house.

They commented on Chinese products, saying the quality is increasingly improving.

"Made in China is going to be "MADE IN CHINA." It's going to be high quality and we're going to want to pay for it, so they will export to us as opposed to our exporting to them," says BRCC Spanish professor Nell Tiller.

Tiller is a frequent traveler to China and hopes to add Asian studies courses to the BRCC curriculum.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
