A former bus driver has been convicted of reckless driving in connection with the death of a pedestrian in downtown Richmond.
Richmond General District Court Judge Thomas O. Jones found 46-year-old Teresa L. Jones guilty Tuesday and fined her $100.
Teresa Jones testified at Tuesday's trial that she didn't see 55-year-old Loucendia Reed Lambert.
The 55-year-old Disputanta woman was on her way to work at the Virginia Department of Health when she was struck by a GRTC Transit System bus driven by Teresa Jones September 30.
Teresa Jones' lawyer, John W. Luxton, said he didn't know if his client would appeal.
Lambert's family wouldn't comment after the trial.
