A small-town Virginia police chief says the suspect in the rape of a Baltimore woman during this weekend's record-breaking snowstorm has confessed to two other rapes.
Nineteen-year-old Donald Vaughan is accused of forcing his way into a home, raping a woman and slashing her throat after offering to shovel snow outside her home.
He was arrested Monday morning in Baltimore. Police in Kilmarnock, Virginia say they had Vaughan under surveillance before he returned to Baltimore, his hometown, earlier this month.
Kilmarnock police chief Michael Bedell says officers from Virginia interviewed Vaughan at Baltimore's booking facility, and he confessed to raping two women. The attacks occurred in late November and early December and shocked the town of 1,200 people.
