The driver who flipped his truck in Augusta county Thursday nearly hit a school bus.

It happened in the 2800 block of Mount Torrey Road in Lyndhurst when a school bus had stopped to drop off kids.

State troopers say 37-year-old Randall Stevens of Fishersville drove up behind the bus when he slammed on his breaks and ran off the road.

Witnesses said they heard the brakes lock up before he swerved to miss the bus.

No one was injured.

It kinda looks like it was around a curve?? Maybe he didn't see the bus until too late- thank goodness he had the reflexes to miss it. It could have been much worse!
