The investigation has started in a early morning fire this past weekend at a warehouse in Mount Jackson.

The fire happened at Mount Jackson Self Storage on Jackson Street around 1:30 Sunday morning. When fire crews arrived, the single story warehouse was engulfed in flames.

Fire officials say AmeriGas, a liquid petroleum gas plant is about 50 feet from where the fire was. They found three bulk delivery trucks containing propane on fire. That's when crews began a defensive operation. Three homes nearby were evacuated. Seven fire departments responded.
