The Harrisonburg Children’s Museum and Wetzel’s Garden Center came together came today to put children first. Local kids got the chance to create their own garden.
Kids at the Harrisonburg Children’s Museum, with the help of Wetzel’s Garden Center turned a little piece of land on Main St. into a wonderful garden. The museum’s director hopes that kids enjoyed themselves, but also learned something.
"I hope they learn something about specific types of plants, obviously we have a shady spot we want them to know they need to pick appropriate plants for those spots and care for them in the long term," said Lisa Shull, Executive Director of Children's Museum.
The finished product will include a bench and a fountain.
