Another truck was also stolen from the Stanley area the same night. A gold 1993 Ford F350 was taken from River Road.
A thief in Augusta County may also be a history buff. Deputies say someone stole several DVDs, including biographies of four former U.S. Presidents, from an unlocked car in Craigsville Friday. The thief took the biographies of Harry Truman, William Taft, Jimmy Carter, and Richard Nixon. Deputies say the thief also stole a dog training collar and a cell phone.

Harrisonburg Police say someone broke into a business and took cash over the weekend. The break-in happened at Heatwole Auction Team on Pleasant Hill Road.
Staunton Police report that someone stole a credit card and used it to buy hundreds of dollars of items. The card was used at a store on Richmond Avenue Wednesday, then at another store in Statler Square.
Deputies in Rockingham County say some horse equipment was reported stolen near Grottoes last week. The stolen items include four bridles and one blanket. They were taken from an unlocked truck on Bird Haven Lane.
