The owner of a grocery store in Elkton has been arrested on drug charges.

Rockingham County police searched Odell's grocery store on Spotswood Avenue in Elkton Tuesday morning. They also searched two homes belonging to the store owner, Odell Crawford.

Those homes are located in Rocky Bar, just south of Elkton. Crawford and his wife, Joyce, are currently being held without bond at Rockingham County Jail.

The Sheriff's Department is not yet releasing the details of what was found in the searches.

I would first like to say that I am a teenager from Elkton and I often visited Odell and Joyce at the store. I never was offered drugs or bought drugs. They were two of the sweetest people and my prayers are with them.

There is a old saying: give enough rope and you will hang yourself.

First of all, lets not start pointing fingers at the cops who keep us safe. If you think that you could do a better job, well then try it for yourself! And since Tom stated that he'd never been in the store how can he speculate and say that it was a drug ring? He can't! Just as the cops couldn't unless they would have entered the store, that is if it was REALLY that noticable. Its time that we as people quit pointing at the faults of others and begin to act in love. To the Crawford family, I pray that God be with you. And to Odell and Joyce, I pray for your souls! I pray that God will reach you were you are. It is a horrible thing that you've done, but only God can grant you total forgiveness.

I just hate to think that people in Elkton are selling and buying on the streets.I know that drugs are everywhere but it could hurt the town of Elkton. And I agree with George about what took the cops so long to get them. The cops are like a 50 step walk from the grocery store. I have neaver been in Odells store but I glad I didn't step foot in there. The place sounds nasty and was a drug ring. I just hope that the people in the store didn't sell any drugs to kids. It hurts if they sell it to grow-ups but kids are even worst. And if they did I hope they set in jail for the rest of there lives and think about what they did to the town of Elkton and what they did to kids that really don't know any better!!!

Well, HELLO!!! Everyone who has ever been in that store knows it's nothing but a front for a drug ring. Grocery store, and the only thing in there is Milk?? This has been going on since he opened this, over a decade ago, WHY did it take the police SO LONG to bust this???
