Federal disaster loans are now available for farm-related and other small businesses in Mingo and Wayne counties that suffered because of an April cold snap.

Congressman Nick Rahall says eligible businesses may qualify for Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $1.5 million. The loans are for up to 30 years and have a four percent interest rate.

Agricultural producers are not eligible under this program.

The deadline to apply is February 1 of next year.

For information, call the SBA's Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955. Loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA's Web site.
