James Madison University could find out within the next week if the school can cut 10 sports programs, as planned, to comply with Title IX.

A group called Equity in Athletics is suing JMU to stop the school from cutting the sports programs. A hearing is scheduled for next Thursday in Roanoke.

If the judge sides with EIA, the teams would be reinstated.
