Family friend Dixie Blosser thinks about the Jimmy and Dalton Lucas she knew before they were separated ten years ago.

Blosser says, "Dalton loved outside, he loved to play with tractors, he loved motorcycles, he was just an average three and four-year-old little boy. He loved it all and was full of life."

Dalton is now 16-years-old, and after being torn apart from those who knew him, he is finally being reunited.

"I'm really looking forward to him coming back and seeing him. I saw the pictures and he looks just like his dad," Blosser adds.

Blosser is one of many friends that are reaching out to the family on Facebook.

Dalton's father Jimmy Lucas' Facebook page has been swarmed with comments after he uploaded a picture of his son during their reunion in Texas.

"It's one of those things that happens and you move on in life and hope for the best. Fortunately, this was the best," Blosser says.

Blosser eagerly awaits the return of the Lucas family, as Jimmy and Dalton will be father and son once again.

She says, "Most of the cases you hear end up in tragedy. It's remarkable that a small town like this, and so many miles away like this could happen."

The Rockingham County Sheriff's office recently arrested Dalton's mother, Tammy.

She is expected to face child abduction charges for taking Dalton to Texas with her in 2000 after losing a custody battle.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
