The harsh winter has many people getting ready to start repairing what was damaged by the heavy snowfall.

Spring starts Saturday, and it already feels like it's here.

At local hardware stores, managers say people are trying to replace things like shrubs that were impacted by the snow.

This weekend is expected to be great for outdoor work.

However, managers are encouraging people to hold off on trying to get all their planting done.

"They do need to kind of watch what they're putting out at this time because I have a feeling we're going to have some more colder weather yet. Records seem to indicate that we will be seeing some colder weather," says Lee Norford, live nursery specialist at Lowe's in Harrisonburg.

Managers also suggest using this weekend to check yard supplies and make sure you're stocked up for the spring season.
