The Meals on Wheels program out of the Waynesboro Senior Center is using stimulus money to deliver outside of the city.
Volunteers deliver hot meals to people close to the senior center daily.
Bundles of frozen meals were also delivered to senior's who live too far away for a hot meal.
Their clients get one delivery that lasts a month, allowing the seniors to live at home and not in a nursing home.
"Why do I appreciate them? Because I don't feel like getting up and trying to cook something, and they bring it too me," jokes Mamie-Ruth Coffman. "It's very good, all of it but the green beans."
The Meals on Wheels program in Waynesboro delivers about 40,000 meals in a year.
