A prosecution witness has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the 1990 robbery and slayings of two workers at a Food Lion in Chesterfield County.

Maurice Boykins received two suspended 12-month sentences after pleading guilty Thursday in Chesterfield Circuit Court to two misdemeanor counts of being an accessory to robbery after the fact.

Boykins admitted helping set up the robbery. He denied any involvement in the execution-style slayings of Tony Robertson and Pauline Story.

The 43-year-old Boykins was a key prosecution witness in the trial of William T. Wallace, who was convicted of capital murder, robbery and other charges in 2008. Wallace is serving two life sentences.
