WASHINGTON (AP) Activists unhappy with the pace of immigration reform are planning a rally Sunday on the National Mall to press their case.

Activists unhappy with the pace of immigration reform are planning a rally Sunday on the National Mall to press their case.
They say President Barack Obama has failed to live up to his promise to tackle immigration reform during his first year in office. And the second year isn't looking much better. The activists hope thousands of people from across the country will join them at the rally to show their unhappiness.
The White House notes that the president has been busy with "big priorities" including improving the economy.
Obama tried to reassure activists and senators last week of his "unwavering" commitment to comprehensive immigration reform. A bill is currently being drafted. But the White House says nothing will happen on immigration without strong bipartisan support.

John Lee, could you please explain how and in what manner that granting Illegal Immigrants citizenship will improve the economy in the US. How and in what manner will America improve if this Immigration Reform passes. Especially in all the years those Illegals been here, this Country economy has been getting destroyed by them. Just THINK how much gasoline is being use up every day in this Country by Illegals? Just THINK how much they have been COSTING Americans in Health Care when they go to the Hospital Emergency Room and don't pay anything? Just THINK how many Welfare Checks are given EVERY MONTH to Illegals? Just THINK How Much it is COSTING AMERICAN Property Owners and Taxpayers EVERY YEAR to BUS and EDUCATE the children of Illegals? If what I described can be attribute to Improvement to this Country then by your standard of THINKING, the improvement will be for a destroyed Country. Not counting the Crimes the Illegals are COSTING Americans. And the COST Of THEM in Prison?
