It's been a month and a day since her daughter drowned in the New River. Now the mother of Valley teenager Morgan Funk says the investigation is not over.

Kathy Funk says despite information leaked to media this week, her daughter's rafting accident is still under investigation. Investigator Larry Case confirms that to TV-3.

15-year-old Morgan Funk drowned June 29th when a raft she was riding in overturned on West Virginia's New River. But her mother wants the public to know that though the accident's garnered a lot of attention, her daughter's life was about so much more.

Now a scholarship has been set up in her honor. Each year, money will be given to a Riverhead's High School Senior going on to college for Band, Art, or Biology -- things Morgan was passionate about. Money can be donated at BB&T Banks, designated for the "Riverheads High School Memorial Scholarship Fund."
