In the summer movie season, it seems like another blockbuster debuts every Friday night. But one of this week's additions, "The Village," has some local flavor.
The movie's cast includes Waynesboro electrician David Foster, who plays "Elder #9."
Foster spent two months in Pennsylvania filming the movie late last year, and says his time on the set was a great experience.
"Well, you get used to eating steak and shrimp, and dining with people like Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt, then you come home and eat tuna fish," he said with a smile. "But I think it's great. You have to stay humble. After all, this is only make-believe, you know?"
Foster says he's appeared in more than two dozen movies over the last 15 years, including last year's Civil War film "Gods and Generals."
