Augusta county fair workers are making sure everything is ready for Tuesday's grand opening.
Last year, nearly 25,000 people visited the fairgrounds in Fishersville. The fair opens Tuesday night and will feature fireworks. There's also a new lumberjack show this year.
Even though a heat advisory will be in affect for the opening, fair organizers say they're ready.
Susie Shiflett, Augusta County fair manager, says, "Were going to have a lot of water, the farm bureau is going to have water, the farm credit bureau is going to have water, we're going to have a lot of water at the fair."
The fair runs from August 7 to 11. Tickets are only $5, and kids six and under get in free.
