Blue Ridge Parkway Shooting Victim Dies

Tim Davis, one of the victims of the Blue Ridge Parkway shooting earlier this week, has died.

Officials say he passed away around 4:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

The 27-year-old Davis, who suffered from multiple sclerosis, was injured when he was alleged shot by Ralph Jackson with a shotgun.

Davis then fell over the edge the Rock Point Overlook where he and 18-year-old Christina Floyd had been watching the sunset.

Officials say he fell about 150 feet down the cliff face.

Both victims had been taken to UVA, but Davis remained in critical condition and had been unconscious since the shooting.

Floyd may have been released from the hospital Friday.

Jackson, who was arrested Wednesday and denied bond Thursday, currently faces one count of attempted capital murder, one count of attempted murder, and two counts of using or displaying a firearm in the commission of a felony.

With Davis' death, those charges may be changed.

Floyd wrote on her Facebook page Friday that she was getting a few stiches then being released from the hospital.
