A pair of Valley men have been charged with felonies, after Tuesday's scene at a gas station off Interstate 81.

Jose Monjes Jr., Weyers Cave, and John Ellinger Jr., Staunton, have both been charged as felons in possession of firearms. Monjes has also been charged with possession of methamphetamine.

The two men were arrested by agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, along with local police, at the BP gas station and Subway just off the Weyers Cave exit on Interstate 81.

Police recovered firearms and several rounds of ammunition, plus the methamphetamine and some cash.

The two men had their initial appearance in court Wednesday, at the U.S. District Court in Charlottesville.
