The Harrisonburg City Council approved a solar energy plan at Eastern Mennonite University.

EMU is now moving forward with the installation of solar panels at four locations on campus: the library, a residence hall and two parking lots.

Construction is expected to begin soon.

The university expects to save $2 million in electricity costs in the next 25 years because of the solar panels.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
