Residents have been complaining of some guys going door-to-door impersonating employees of Superior Sealing & Maintenance and selling second rate paving jobs.
"We got a good reputation," said owner Wade Seekford. "I would like to keep it that way, we have been in business going on 16 years and we do quality work. Guys like this can really put the hurt on you."
Wade says this is not the first time something like this happened to the company. When his father-in-law owned the business eight years ago, someone was doing the same thing. That means you should be on alert.
"Ask them what type of material they are using," said Wade, "and ask to see a business card."
Wade says if a company that does asphalt maintenance work is soliciting business door to door, there probably will be questions about the quality of work.
"They water it down pretty bad," said Wade, "your more or less just getting black water. If you water it down it's not going to last. It may look good for a while, but it's not going to last."
