Two Charged After Toddler Wanders Away from VA In-Home Day Care

Two Woodbridge women have been charged after a two-year-old girl allegedly wandered away from their in-home day care center during a rain storm.

Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said the child was found by a neighbor down the street late Monday morning. The girl did not require medical attention and was released to her parents.

Forty-nine-year-old Edy Ruth Chamul and 31-year-old Liz Margareth Juarez Portillo were arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They face a September court date.
