A New Kind of Scam is Targeting Immigrants

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV)-- These particular scammers target someone who needs immigration help and they claim to be qualified.

Valley attorney Tania Rodriguez, of John Elledge & Associates, stresses to folks who need help in the immigration process to reach out to someone who can be accountable and who is reputable.

"They are not held accountable and usually you hand them your money and they are gone you can not find them and it's just going to be more costly at the end," said Rodriguez.

Rodriguez says in immigration cases it's important to get a lawyer because they will stay with you throughout the entirety of the case.
