HARRISONBURG, Va. During this time of year, we are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.
Taylin was a foster child who never thought she would have a place to call home, but this year she is looking forward to unwrapping presents with her family.
Beth Sellers started fostering Taylin over a year ago.
"She's my child. I mean, I loved her from the minute I first met her."
She said, Taylin was born with arthrogryposis, a condition which causes her joints to fuse.
Sellers said, her favorite thing to do with her daughter is travel. It doesn't matter where.
Recently, every other week they have made trips to Philadelphia, where Taylin can receive medical care.
Taylin's new goal is to start walking. Sellers said she has already made a lot of progress towards that goal.
Sellers said, Christmas has always held a special place in their hearts and this year will be their first Christmas together as a family.
"She really wasn't able to enjoy Christmas last year. She didn't know then that this was going to be her forever home. I knew that she was going to stay. But, she wasn't sure," said Sellers.
