Traffic restrictions on Interstate 64 will resume April 29 and last through May 2. VDOT crews are removing unstable soil from the slope of Afton Mountain.
Work crews will restrict traffic in both directions throughout the day for 30 to 45 minutes at a time. The restrictions will run from 9 a.m. until 7 or 8 p.m. each day.
The highway will be affected between Delphine Ave. in Waynesboro (Exit 96) and the Crozet exit (Exit 107) in Albemarle County.
VDOT encourages drivers to use U.S. Route 250 as an alternate route.
