The Augusta County Board of Supervisors is holding a hearing for those who live and own businesses in what are called “small villages.”
They will be discussing a new mixed use zoning permit for villages like Mount Sidney, New Hope and Greenville.
These zoning permits will allow business owners to have a business in one part of their building and an apartment in another part. Current zoning ordinances make owners apply for a special use permit.
Members of the Augusta County Planning Commission has already approved the new zoning permits. The permits must be voted on by the Board of Supervisors to go into effect.
