Bank Robbery Suspect on the Run

WINCHESTER, Va-- Monday morning just before 9:30, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the United Bank located at 199 Front Royal Pike Winchester, Va. reporting a bank robbery.

The suspect entered the bank, jumped over top of the counter and demanded that the bank tellers remove the money in there teller drawers. After the bank tellers complied, the suspect jumped bank over the counter and took off with money, according to deputies.

The suspect was last seen running east bound from the rear of the bank between Delco Plaza area and the Costco store. The suspect is described as a black man, approximately six-feet tall with a thin build, in his early to mid 20s, wearing blue jeans, white short sleeve button-up style shirt with blue pin strips and sunglasses. The suspect did not display a weapon nor did he indicate that he had one. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect was seen entering a late model four-door large frame sedan style late 80s to early 90s, faded burgundy in color with no hubcaps and damage done to the rear bumper.
