Board Reconsiders Expired Photo I.D. Policy

STAUNTON, Va. - Your expired photo I.D. could soon be enough to allow you to vote, and the state board of elections is looking at this policy.

The board adopted the policy earlier this month, and they're now reconsidering the action following a report from Watchdog.org and a complaint from Senator Mark Obenshain.

Voters say that such a policy opens the door for more fraudulent activity at the polls.

"I'm more worried about the double votes and triple votes and that kind of thing more than anything. You've got to have a valid I.D., that's all there is to it, I don't care what you do. You have to have a valid I.D. everywhere you go, so it's important," says

The board will have a final decision in August regarding the policy, following a public comment period.
