BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WHSV)-- Deputies in Bedford County have not said if the elderly woman is the woman who was discovered.
The house, quiet and nestled at the very end of Tucker Terrace, 2478 is a white house and barn and with a small sign reading "Overstreet-Wildman Homeplace. That is where Bedford County deputies say they found two partially decomposed bodies on Jul. 19. A woman's body was found in the yard, and a later search would reveal the body of a man and a dead dog as well.
"Like I say, she walked sometimes up the road and I would meet her when I was walking," said Floyd Daniels, who lives nearby, "we'd talk, she'd comment on roses in the yard and stuff like that. She seemed to be very nice, very nice."
Deputies have not said if the owner of the property was the woman discovered on Jul. 19. the bodies that were found are at the Roanoke medical examiner's office to determine identification.
