Baltimore police say a body found in a Maryland river is that of a missing North Carolina teen.
The girl, Phylicia Barnes, was visiting relatives for the holidays in Baltimore when she went missing December 28. Her 17th birthday was January 12.
Chief Medical Examiner David Fowler says Barnes is the only missing person in the area who matches the age and gender of the body found in the Susquehanna River in the northeastern part of the state, about 35 miles from Baltimore.
Officials are also doing an autopsy on the body of a man found in the same area Wednesday. It is not clear if there is any connection between the two bodies.
