Bridgewater Retirement Community Raises Close to $4 Million

The Bridgewater Retirement Vommunity will be doing construction for a while. The community raised close top $4,000,000 pay for the construction of new living areas.

It has around 40,000 square feet of new space and 50 thousand square feet of renovated space. They will be able to moved residents into the new space to renovate the old space in September.

The funds were raised from more than 400 families in the area.

They tell us that the future of nursing homes is important to many people.

"As we all age, as our parents age, as our grandparents age, we want something better for them, we want something better for ourselves, and so I think when we see a better way I think that touches people individually," said Rodney Alderfer, president of Bridgewater Retirement Community.

Construction will take place until sometime around September 2015.
