HARRISONBURG -- The Broadway-Timberville Chamber of Commerce's board of directors voted to align itself with the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce.
Chairman Randy Andes said BTCC board made the move “in order to provide greater benefits and value to our current members and business community.”
The BTCC board felt the HRCC has programs and benefits for members that the BTCC can't duplicate because of its size.
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce has more than 800 businesses that are members. There are 48 members in the Broadway-Timberville Chamber of Commerce. Some businesses are members of both organizations.
“Our Chamber welcomes the BTCC members into our organization and we hope to have a greater presence in the Broadway and Timberville communities as a result of this move,” said HRCC Chairman Hobey Bauhan.
