ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- Investigators with the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office have placed charges against the father, mother, and grandmother of a seven month old infant who died last August in Rockbridge County.

William Daniel Slagle, Heather Deann Ruley, and Patricia Tyree Ruley were each charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony child abuse due to their alleged neglect of Jake Wesley Slagle, which led to his death.

The three subjects have also been charged with three counts each of felony child neglect and abuse due to their alleged lack of care of the three other children that were living in the residence at the time of Jake’s death.

The three subjects were arrested earlier today and are currently being held in the Rockbridge Regional Jail.

William Slagle was denied no bond.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Heather Ruley and $10,000 for Patricia Ruley.

The three are scheduled to be arraigned in Rockbridge County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Monday.
