Community Comes Together To Volunteer

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Across the Valley, people are coming together to give back.

The program, Operation Inasmuch, brings people together to use their passion and gifts to make a difference.

This year, the organization will serve more than 30 non-profits. Through this project, the community will help paint, do yard work and even build ramps for elderly homes.

Any age and skill is welcome.

Cindy Parks, the director of the program, said the goal is for this program to be a catalyst to continue volunteering throughout the year.

"It takes you outside of yourself to realize there are needs in the community. We are so blessed and that we aren't holding onto our blessings but using those blessings to serve somebody else," said Parks.

The event starts at 6:30 a.m. on April 26.
