HARRISONBURG, Va. Around the nation, people will cheer on Team USA in the World Cup, as they take on Ghana Monday evening at 6 p.m.

Elidh Thomson, the executive director of the Shenandoah Valley United Soccer Club, said more than 1,300 youth club players are invited to come together to see the game tonight at the Bowl of Good in Harrisonburg.

She said in addition to cheering on the United States, many players will also support Mexico and Honduras.

Thomson said the Valley is so diverse and this brings every culture together at the same time.

"The USA is such a great demographic of different cultures, but this one event brings everyone together, supporting all the teams, most dominantly the USA, especially in the first game against Ghana. So, this game bringing everyone together is huge for us," said Thomson.

Thomson said, this year social media has also been significant in bringing people together and organizing events.

If you go to Bowl of Good to watch the game everyone is encouraged to wear red, white and blue or their soccer jerseys.
