HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Friday is the last day to share your ideas on "Be Heard Harrisonburg," about the upcoming city budget.
City leaders said the goal is to offer an additional way to provide feedback to the city.
By law, they have always held two public hearings and for the first time this year, they launched this survey online as a way to voice your opinion, before those meetings happen and tell the city council where you think they should prioritize spending the budget.
Kira McCarthy just graduated from college and plans to participate in this survey.
"Still trying to get my grasp on my place in the world, where I want to be and what I want to do. So, to feel like my opinion really matters out there, it means a lot to me," said McCarthy.
So far, the city said they have had about 45 people participate in this survey.
They plan to collect the ideas and feedback for the next fiscal year, and for the future.
