Community Prepares to Vote in Local Town Council Elections

NEW MARKET, Va.-- In New Market, three town council seats are up for re-election. Four people are running. Whoever wins will end up serving a four-year term.

Jaime Bush moved to New Market years ago and has gone to vote in these local elections several times. She said, voting is the best way to have your voice heard.

"I have teenagers and I care about their education. Society has changed a lot since I was growing up... and I think they need to focus on education in the schools and being taught things instead of just passing them through," said Bush.

People living in New Market can Vote at the Fire and Rescue Building, from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
