HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is still working to track down the suspect in the Dry River Store Shooting as the community still mourns the loss of a friend.
In addition to flowers and small memorials, people are even giving money.
One of Jae Kim's family members said the family is blown away by all of this support.
Tara Keagy is one of the organizers raising money to help pay for Jae Kim's medical bills.
Funds will also go to help pay for his wife's, Eun Kim, known to most as simply Kim, funeral.
Nearly $1,800 has been raised on the fundraising page and the number keeps growing.
Facebook pages have been created asking for money and prayers as a community comes together as one.
"Jae would be really proud to see everybody come together as one for them, I don't think he realized just how well they were loved in this community," said Keagy.
Family members said Jae is recovering and still holding on in the hospital.
Friends who have visited him said he's a fighter.
"The son and daughter told me to tell all ya'll to keep praying. Mr. Jae is going to make it. He's fighting hard and he will make it and he said thank each and every one of ya'll and keep on praying for him," said Gerod Kile, a family friend.
Yet as the community mourns Eun Kim, they celebrate her life.
"What we miss about her too is her smile. Every time you walked in she had a smile. They never had a bad day it seemed," said Keagy.
"Treated me like family, they did everybody who come in here," said Kile.
The family said there will be a public memorial mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrsionburg Friday at 6 p.m.
