Community in Clover Hill Organizes Fundraising Event for Kim Family

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- After the Dry River store shooting in Rockingham County, the Clover Hill community is coming together to fundraise for the Kim family.

Jae Kim is in the hospital in critical condition at last check, after deputies say a suspect shot both him and his wife. Eun Kim died in the shooting.

Organizers sold tickets Sunday night at the store. The event will be on March 15th starting at 10 a.m. at the Briary Branch Community Center.

It will include a spaghetti dinner and silent auction. Organizers say they're doing what they can for a couple they knew well.

"The family was a really good family, they were really nice to everybody here in our community and everybody around here cared a lot for them. We just really want to help the family and the kids. We don't want them to have to worry with all the bills and medical expenses," said Heather Dean, the benefit organizer.
