Construction Starts on New Health Science College

STAUNTON, Va -- Construction has started at Mary Baldwin College's health science college.

School leaders plan to have programs in physical and occupational therapy and a physician assistant program. The new college will be built off of Interstate 64 near Augusta Health.

Linda Seestedt-Stanford, the college's vice-president, said she is looking forward to its future in Augusta County.

“This is an incredible day, not just for me, but for the whole community,” said Seestedt-Stanford. “The Mary Baldwin community, the Staunton community, Fishersville. It's really something exciting happening in our little mountain area.”

Mary Baldwin College is an all women's college, but this graduate program will be for both men and women.
