Crash Leads to Delays on Interstate 64

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- A driver now faces charges after a crash led to delays on Interstate 64 West near Waynesboro near mile marker 94.

Minor injuries were reported at the crash and the driver was charged with improperly changing lanes.

The crash happened at about 7 a.m. when the diver of a Ford Expedition tried changing lanes and hit a Scion, according to state police. Police said after hitting the Scion, the Expedition flipped over and the Scion spun out.

Both the driver and the passenger in the Expedition had minor injures and were taken to the hospital as a precaution

By 8 a.m., the road was clear.
