Harrisonburg Woman Plagued By Credit Card Scam

HARRISONBURG, Va (WHSV)-- The alleged scammer says he can give you a lower interest rate on a credit card, but it requires a service charge.

A Bridgewater woman originally called in the scam. Now, a Harrisonburg woman called to say that she's recieved these calls constantly in the past five years. Sometimes she'll get as many as two calls a day. She is willing to do just about anything to stop this from happening.

"It's really to the point of being harrassament. I'm not really comfortable about going on TV, but I'll do a lot to get it stopped if it would," said Vesta Weaver, who is concerned about the scam.
