An employee at a local gym reports crowds shrinking, after a jump in attendance and memberships at the beginning of January.

Employee Tyquam Bynum at Planet Fitness said just a few weeks ago, lines were out the door.

He said the number of members almost tripled from December.

However, he said now the gym is not as busy as when the year started. He said not as many people are joining or attending.

"I think it pretty much died down like I said after New Year's. If you are really strong about your resolution, you stick with it but most people aren't. That's just the truth. It's dying down a little bit," Bynum said.

Bynum said to keep up with your new year's resolution, you can either push yourself or you can get a trainer to keep you in check.
