HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- One of two sisters accused of breaking into more than a dozen homes pleaded guilty Monday in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
Fulks Run resident, Beth Deeds, pleaded guilty to five felony counts of breaking and entering, two felony counts of grand larceny and one felony count of obtaining money by false pretenses.
As part of a plea deal, a judge sentenced the 20-year-old to 35 years in prison. As part of a plea deal, she will have to serve four years of the sentence.
Her sister, April Deeds, who also goes by April Wallace, still faces 14 felony counts.
Deputies say the charges stem from the break-ins reported at more than a dozen homes in January and February.
Most of the homes were located in Broadway, Linville and Singers Glen. Deputies say money, electronics, jewelry and medications were swiped during the crimes.
April Deeds is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 4 for a plea hearing.
