Deputies Responding to Motorcycle Crash Near Hinton

Rockingham County, VA -- UPDATE: 4/24/2014 7:45 p.m.
State police have released the names of the drivers involved in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.

Jeremy Merica, from Shenandoah, was driving the bike involved. He is 34 years old.

Elmer Dahmer was driving the car involved. He is in his 70s.


UPDATE: 4/24/2014 4:30 p.m.
A car was pulling into a driveway when a motorcycle tried to pass it.

The bike hit the back of the car and did some of this damage.

Police say there were two people on the bike when it happened.
Both were thrown from the bike, and we know at least one hit car's rear windshield.

The two bikers were taken to the hospital.

One was taken to Sentara RMH.Another was flown to UVA Medical Center unconscious.


Rockingham County Deputies are responding to a crash involving a motorcycle and another car on Rawley Pike near Hinton.

It's reported just west of Hinton. Dispatchers are unable to confirm the severity of the crash.

We have a crew on the way to gather more information.
